A personal note as we post this blog

Please come back and visit this site as we continue posting details and photos from our trip. We've had to take a break and are just now getting back on our feet. Our fathers faced some trying times between Christmas and the beginning of 2007. Joel and Greta were needed on the home front.
Greta's dad had little time to agree to the installation of a pacemaker. He appears to be feeling better now. Joel's dad said goodbye to us all. He was 74. The day he died, Joel and I adopted a cat, "Doc." Hours before I was going to pick him up and take him directly to the vet to be checked out from tail to whisker, a Davidson County neighbor of Joel's shot the cat with a .22. So, it's even more fitting his name be "Doc." He will be okay. (My other three cats are trying to adapt.)
Our friends, family and extended family have helped us during this tragic time and we are forever grateful.
